About Me
“Cooking is trial & error, If you mess up on the first try, then try again!” I loved the kitchen growing up as a little girl from Meadowbrook in Kingston, Jamaica. My grandmother always ensured that I was in the kitchen because she believed that it one of the duties of a young woman. It was from there that I realized my talent and dived deeper into my passion.
I started out by whipping up the best Curried Potatoes that you would ever taste and ventured into playing with other more complicated foods. I used to burn pots and make the saltiest meals but I was determined because I thought cooking was fun. It was from these mistakes that I learnt that the kitchen was truly a dynamic and fun environment and I never stepped foot outside my kitchen ever since! I am not a professional but far from mediocre. I pride myself on being really good in the kitchen. I am at ease when cooking as I use it as a form of therapy also. I have worked in many kitchens, from Jamaican to French and American. I was able to pick up some extensive experience which contributed to my culinary skills and education. I haven’t worked in a restaurant for years but that didn’t stop my culinary journey. I’m always trying new things in my kitchen at home and I don’t believe in boring repetitive family meals. It was during this time that I realized how much I have missed culinary arts and decided to start Londoncookss where I share recipes and pictures of my family meals. From Londoncookss evolved my YouTube Channel where I go more in depth about my dishes and recipes.
