Air fryer Honey Garlic Chicken Wings

Prep Time: 20 mins

Cooking Time: 18 mins

Total Time: 38 mins

2 lb Chicken Wings

1 1/2 tsp Black Pepper

1 tsp Sazon

1 tsp Garlic Powder

1 tsp All Purpose Seasoning

1 tsp Chicken Seasoning

A dash of Salt

1/4 cup oil

Honey Garlic Sauce:

6 cloves Garlic, minced

1/4 cup Honey

1/2 tbsp Soy Sauce

1/4 stick Butter

1/4 tsp Ground Ginger

Directions:

Cut each chicken wing in half at the joints and discard the tips.

Prep chicken by washing, using a little Vinegar and cool water (optional).

Add to chicken 1 1/2 tsp Black pepper, 1 tsp Sazon, 1 tsp Garlic Powder, 1 tsp All Purpose Seasoning, 1 tsp Chicken Seasoning, 1/4 tsp salt and 1/4 cup of oil and combine evenly.

Set your air fryer temperature to 350 degrees. Spray rack using Kitchen oil spray and arrange chicken wings evenly on rack. Do not overcrowd or place wings on top of each other as this can prevent them from cooking evenly. My air fryer only holds about 7 wings at a time, so I ended up cooking them in two batches. Spray the wings heavily with cooking oil spray or sprinkle with oil.

Allow wings to cook for 10 mins.

Sauce Directions:

In a sauce pan place butter and minced garlic. Allow butter to melt with garlic to get some fragrance over a medium-low heat while stirring. Stir in ground ginger, honey and soy sauce and allow to simmer for about 3 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

Remove the wings from the air fryer after 10 mins and  add them to the sauce and coat properly ensuring that each gets a few pieces of minced garlic. Place the wings back in the air fryer in an even layer and on their opposite side to ensure that the are nicely charred from the honey and a little crispy on both sides. Allow them to cook for an additional 8 minutes.

Once cooked slather on some extra sauce and serve immediately with your favorite sides!
