Prep Time: 10 mins

Cook Time: 20 mins

Total Time: 30 mins

 Ingredients

 4  5oz Salmon Filet

1/4 tsp Black Pepper

1/4tsp  Salt

1/2 tsp Paprika

1/2 tsp Fish Seasoning

1/2 tsp Old Bay Seasoning

6 cloves Garlic, minced fine

2 Lemons, juiced

1/4-1/2 cup Honey

3-4 sprigs Thyme

6 tbsp Unsalted Butter

Oil

Directions:

Cut salmon filets in half going vertically to make your pieces smaller and skinnier if you like. You can also use skinless salmon for this recipe.

Wash the Salmon using the juice of one of the Lemons, pat dry for any excess water and set aside.

In a small bowl add the Black Pepper, Salt, Paprika, Fish and Old Bay Seasoning. Combine evenly and sprinkle generously over the fish. You may not need to use the entire seasoning mix and try not to pile on too much seasoning as it may cause the fish to burn easily when cooking.

In a frying pan add only enough oil to coat the pot but not too much. I would suggest using a non-stick pot but you can use whatever you have on hand. Non stick pots are great for searing as they make handling a lot easier. Allow the pot to get really hot before adding the Salmon filets, over a medium-high heat.

Add the fish and try not to overcrowd your pot demanding on the size of the pot your are using, you may need to work in batches. Add the sprigs of Thyme now also directly to the oil. This should help to add some extra flavor to your oil and Salmon. Allow your fish to sear for about 5 mins per side over a medium-high heat.

Once complete lower your heat to low and drain off any excess oil from your pot and remove the Thyme. Move the fish to the side of the pot if possible or remove them and set them aside if this isn’t possible.

Add the butter to melt and then the garlic. Sauté for about 2 mins and then add the Lemon juice and honey. Feel free to add enough Honey to your liking. Stir to combine all of your ingredients and then add your fish back to the sauce. Be sure to continuously spoon the Honey Garlic mixture over your fish and remove them from the heat after 8-10 mins or once the sauce has somewhat thicken.

Serve and enjoy with you favorite sides!
