Prep Time: 10 mins

Cooking Time: 20 mins

Total Time: 30 mins

Salmon Prep:

4 Salmon Fillets (preferably 2 oz cuts)

2 tbsp of your favorite Jerk marinade

4 tbsp Oil

1 Lemon

1 tsp Fish Seasoning

Honey Jerk Glaze:

2 tsp Soy sauce

4 tbsp unsalted Butter

2 tsp Jerk marinade

4 tbsp Honey

Directions:

Wash Salmon using cool water and lemon juice. I used Salmon with the skin on. I’ve found that this type of Salmon comes out juicer compared to skinless Salmon. If you have skinless Salmon it can be used also but keep in mind that the cooking time may vary. Skinless Salmon takes less time to cook compared to Salmon with the skin still intact.

Place them on a paper towel and pat them dry to remove any excess water. If using thick or wide cuts of salmon, cut them in half longways, resulting in slimmer cuts. To give a better idea of how they should look, see Salmon cuts in picture above. Personally I think slimmer cuts allow for the Salmon to be seasoned better or you taste the seasoning more by doing it this way.

In a bowl place Salmon, 2 tbsp of the jerk marinade, the fish seasoning and 4 tbsp oil. You can also add some fresh blend or green seasoning if you would like. Combine all ingredients evenly, ensuring to create a nice thin layer of marinade on each piece of Salmon. Keep in mind that the more Jerk marinade that you use, the bolder the flavors and the spicier it may be also.

This fish can be cooked right after seasoning but if you have some time allow them to marinate for at least 4 hours.

Turn your air fryer temperature to 350 degrees. You can let it preheat for about 1-2 mins if you’d like. Place Salmon filets in air fryer basket and drizzle some oil on the top of each. If you have oil left back from your marinade you can use that. Do not overcrowd basket so you may need to cook them in batches to prevent them from sticking to each other.

Allow the Salmon to cook for a minimum of 10 mins depending on the sizes or when the meat appears firm and flaky. Keep in mind also that the longer you leave them in the air fryer, the more they will dry out. My Salmon was cooked in about 10 mins. Set aside.

In a saucepan add butter to melt and then tsp of Jerk marinade, honey, and soy sauce over a low heat. The sauce will start to thicken as it simmers. Remove from heat after about 5 mins and spoon glaze over Salmon.

Serve immediately and enjoy with your favorite sides
