Prep Time: 10 mins

Cook Time: 25 mins

Total Time:  35 mins

Ingredients:

2lbs Strip Steak or Sirloin, cut into bite sized cubes

1 tsp Garlic Powder

1/2 tsp All Purpose Seasoning

1/4 tsp Ground Ginger

1/2 tsp Paprika

2 tbsp Butter

1/4 tsp Black Pepper

1/4 tsp Ground Pimento/Allspice Berries

Oil

Honey

1 tbsp Soy Sauce

2 tsp Brown Sugar

5 sprigs Thyme

Directions:

In a bowl season the Steak using the Garlic Powder, All Purpose Seasoning, Ground Ginger, Ground Pimento, Black Pepper, Paprika and a drizzle of oil.

Combine evenly and set aside. You can allow the steak to marinate for however long you want but marination isn’t necessary. You can make this right away and it will still be flavorful.

In a separate bowl combine the soy sauce, Brown sugar and as much Honey as you’d like. I suggest using at least 1tbsp to balance out the sodium  content in the soy sauce. You can also use low sodium soy sauce. Be sure to taste the sauce and adjust things as necessary. Combine and set aside.

Preheat a skillet over a medium-high heat with enough oil to coat the pot. Now add the steak and cook it to your liking- Rare 1 1/2 mins per side, Medium 2 1/4 mins per side and Well done 4-5 mins per side depending on the thickness.

Lower your heat to medium low and remove the leaves of the Thyme from the stem then add them to the pot. You may not be able to remove all of the leaves and that’s fine. (Discard any stems removed.)

Now add the Butter allow it to melt and then add the Honey Soy mixture and combine evenly with the steak.

Remove from the fire as soon as everything combines evenly to prevent the steak from overcooking.

Serve right away as a Brunch item or with your favorite sides.
